An Enjoyable Sunday!

But let’s not kid ourselves . . . the TEXANS are B-A-D.  That being said, Good Teams are supposed to dominate Bad Teams, and that's what the Redskins did on Sunday at beautiful Reliant Stadium down south.  Mark Brunell showed that he CAN execute this offense (against a bad defense) by completing an NFL record 22 passes in a row, and the Running Back Tandem of Clinton Portis and Ladell Betts were very effective against the reeling Houston Defense.

A shout out to Tony Grasse for arranging the tickets and the pre-game festivities in Houston - -  the food was great, the seats were good, and the experience was awesome!  A big thumbs down to the Texans fans, though, a lot of whom started leaving with 5 minutes left in the 3rd Quarter!

This Sunday will be a LOT tougher as the Burgundy & Gold continue the month-long swing through the AFC South as the Jacksonville Jaguars visit FedEx Field.  The Jags played Indianapolis tough, but lost their first game of the year on Sunday, so they will be hungry to get back into the "W" column. Hopefully, Mark Brunell will have some extra juice playing against his former organization, and the "O" Line can provide him some time to operate versus the stout Jacksonville Defense.  The receivers for Jacksonville are all over 6 feet, so our secondary will definitely be tested . . . Shawn Springs - - where are you??  I promise to start Jags WR Matt Jones on my fantasy team this week, which pretty much guarantees he will not be productive at all in the game!   Leftwich is still suspect, though, so if Coach Williams can bring the blitz, Leftwich can be rattled and maybe we can get some easy ones!

With the Giants in turmoil and on our horizon next week, a Win here would get us right back in the race for the NFC East, so let's welcome the Jags to town with a thorough butt whipping                                                                                                           .............................................................John Priddy

I am probably to late for the Hero's Corner this week, but my mother, like the millions of mother's from her generation used to say, "If you can't say
anything nice about someone or something, then don't say anything at all."   This is all I shall say about the Dallas game!

However, if we don't win this week (at Houston), we are in for a very, very long season of cellar dwelling!
