HAIL REDSKINS FANS!
A R E T U R N T O F O R M!
A complete effort by all facets of the team started our Redskins' 3-game homestand with a well-deserved victory over the Carolina Panthers this past Sunday. The game plan was sound, running the ball 37 times to keep the pressure off the shoulders of newcomer QB Jason Campbell, and allowing him to perform when necessary. The fourth quarter 66-yard catch-and-run to TE Chris Cooley was perfect, hitting him in dead stride, which was absolutely necessary to make the play a success. The Defense FINALLY played like we have expected them to all year! Perhaps the anonymous quotes in last week’s ESPN Magazine, by a member of the defense, which were handed out in the locker room Saturday, fired everyone up! Whatever it was . . . it was good . . . earning Safety Sean Taylor "Defensive Player of the Week" Honors.
The trip
through the NFC South continues this week as the "Middle Fingers of Michael
Vick" and the Atlanta Falcons come to FedEx Field. The Falcons are in big
trouble as of late, so let's kick 'em while they are down, and send them back
down to
Also, this week Art Monk’s name has surfaced in Hall of Fame discussions, with HOF Voter Peter King coming out publicly for Monk’s long-overdue induction into the Hall. So, hopefully, that will happen this year! .......................................................John Priddy
