Jason Campbell showed us all something on Sunday in his NFL Debut at the New Sombrero in Tampa . . . he showed us he can fit the ball into tight spaces, he can get the ball where it needs to be in a hurry, he can scramble away from pressure, he can run  when he needs to but not before, he can successfully run a 2 minute offense with the game on the line, but finally . . . and most importantly . . . he showed that he does not like to lose!  The shot of him on the sidelines at the end of the game with an absolutely disgusted look on hi face told me all I need to know.  We have a number of guys on this team that don’t really seem to care once the clock shows 0:00 . . . they are getting paid, so they are all buddy buddy with the opposing team, they are all smiles for the camera, they are even singing in the shower!!   I don’t think Jason Campbell will be that kind of player ~ ~ I think he will be fired up from start to finish ~ ~ and I think his enthusiasm and determination will finally take us in the right direction.  Overall, I was impressed!

This week we start having a chance to play spoiler with the Carolina Panthers on the docket.  Jake Delhomme has looked more like Jake Plummer as of late, but any team with Steve Smith is always dangerous, so our Defense (if that is not too strong of a term) will have it’s hands full.  Mr. Betts was altogether unimpressive Sunday against a porous run defense in Tampa, so hopefully TJ Duckett will get the call.  The Panther defense will pose a tougher nut for Jason Campbell, but at this point, let’s turn up the heat and cook these eggs to see what kind of omelet we really have.

Hail Redskins Fans,   Changing Horses in Mid Stream.  We've always been told that that is a bad thing to do.  But when you have nothing to lose, what can it hurt?  The worst we can get out of it is to have a really crappy season and get better draft picks and an easier season next year, plus end up looking for a new starting QB for next year.  The best we can get out of it is that Jason Campbell is our quarterback of the future.   I don't have much to say like the rest of you.  I'm just eager to see Jason play, and see T.J. "The Hammer" Duckett play some more, as Clinton is out for the season.  Maybe we will be an upsetter this year for someone.  It's going to be interesting to say the least.  I expect to see a good game against the Bucs.  It would be a big emotional high for us, as any win will be enjoyable at this point.   The NFC East is getting very tight, especially with the Giants suffering all those injuries, the Cowboys are still inconsistent, but gives their baby QB Romo a chance to be a hero or a goat.  And the Eagles?  They will probably end up winning the division.  We are all so battered and beat up.  It looks like the soothe-sayers at the start of the season guessed it right.  The NFC East would end up putting themselves out of the run for the Superbowl.    Now we can all just sit back and enjoy football for what it is, and not get all stressed out week in and week out!  Hail Football!!!  Hail to the Redskins getting a few more wins!!!  I only hope that Campbell will prove to be a good one.  I'm not sure I can take another year of rebuilding.  We should know in just a few short weeks what next year can bring.  Let's just have fun for now and Sink those Buccaneers one more time!   Actually, we are not out of it mathematically.  It might take a little Advanced Calculus!  Hail to The Redskins!!!
