The "W" Counts!
Yes, I know it was the Rams, I know it was at home, and I had to endure every minute of it just like you did . . . but the scoreboard at the end said that the Skins won the game and, consequently, we are tied with the Eagles and Cowboys for second place in the Division.
Jason DID look better this week - - running when the situation dictated, and also getting the ball to both Moss and Kelly more than in Week 1. However, his deep balls were poor, and he seemed hesitant to even throw deep at all. The PLAY‑CALLING was suspect at times, and multiple “redzone” trips with nothing but Field Goals to show for them is unacceptable to all of us. But We Won The Game! ‘Nuff said.
With the season-ending injury to Randy Thomas, it looks like Chad Rinehart will finally get a chance to step and show he can earn his paycheck. With a trip to the Motor City to face the Lions - - who are mired in a 19 game losing streak - - on the menu for this week, we should all be looking forward to this game. Right? Our defense Should be able to pressure rookie starter Matt Stafford into mistakes, and our offense Should be able to score touchdowns against a porous defense that just doesn’t yet have the proper personnel to run Coach Schwartz’s schemes. Right?
We all looked at this game when the schedules came out and marked it as a win . . . Right?
So let’s go up there and get the “W”!
